How to Print with Papercut

  1. On the new printer, check to see what brand the printer is. It will either be Toshiba, which are usually larger ones, or Lexmark, which are usually smaller ones.
  2. Once you find the printer type, you will find four different printers added to your list of printers on your computer. These are:
    1. ToshibaBW: For Toshiba printers, printing black and white pages.
    2. ToshibaColor: For Toshiba printers, printing color pages.
    3. LexmarkBW: For Lexmark printers, printing black and white pages.
    4. LexmarkColor: For Lexmark printers, printing color pages.
Note: If printing black and white, always choose BW. Choosing Color will result in higher charges.
  3. Find the name that matches the print job you want to do, and send your document to this printer.
Note: If the printer isn’t listed, please restart your computer. If it still isn’t visible as a printer, please call the Helpdesk at 244-4777.

Lexmark

  1. On the touch screen, you will see the option to enter your username and password, or your ID number. You may also use your swipe ID card to bypass entering information, and swipe it as a credit card.

  2. If entering your username and password, make sure to enter just the username. Do not finish it with [email protected] For example:
    1. Good: smithj
    2. Won’t work: [email protected]

  3. If entering ID number (sometimes written as “pincode”) make sure the ID number is seven digits. To accomplish this, put zeros in front of your username. For example:

    2. Six digit ID numbers: 0123456

  4. Select next when prompted. It will bring you to the main screen. Here, your options are to “print release,” or to “logout.” To print, select “Print Release.”

    3. Pincode: Your Sage ID number
    4. You may also swipe your Sage card if you’d like

  2. If in the library on the first floor, it will ask which one you’d prefer to use. If at any other Toshiba, it will default to the pincode/ID number. The username/password function is found in the lower right hand side.

  3. If entering your username and password, make sure to enter just the username. Do not finish it with [email protected] For example:
    1. Good: smithj
    2. Won’t work: [email protected]
