Adding PaperCut and Printers on a PC

*NOTE: You will need the PaperCut Client installed to be able to print*

Windows 8

  1. Right Click on the Windows Symbol and select “Control Panel”

  1. Select “View Devices and Printers”

  1. In the menu bar at the top of the window select “Add a Printer”

  1. At the bottom of the next window that comes up select “The printer that I want isn’t listed”

  1. Choose the option “Select a shared printer by name”

  1. The Printer names will be:
    1. \\printer\ToshibaBW
    2. \\printer\ToshibaColor
    3. \\printer\LexmarkBW
    4. \\Printer\LexmarkColor

  1. IMPORTANT: A window will appear and ask for your Username and Password. This will be your Sage Credentials, but be sure to type in "sage\" in front of your username! Select “Next” and Windows will download the new drivers automatically, and install the new printers. Once done you should see an icon such as this for the new printers in the "Devices and Printers" menu

**NOTE: You will have to do this step FOUR times. Once for each printer**

Installing the PaperCut Client

  1. Right Click on the Windows Symbol and select “File Explorer”

  1. In the navigation bar type \\papercut\pcclient

  1. Login with your Sage Username and Password *Note: You may have to type in "Sage\" before your username such as the example below*

  1. Open the folder “win" and then “STUDENT”
  2. Open the file “client-local-install” and go through the installer.

  1. Sign in with your Sage Username and Password (You can choose if it will remember your identity or if you have to type it in every time you log onto PaperCut)

  1. You should see a Papercut Window and Icon in your taskbar and you are ready to print.
